You have two stressors that negatively influence your life: External ones and Internal ones. External ones is stuff like : I have a shitty job, I hate my city, I don't get enough sleep. Some of these are things you can work on, others might be a little harder. Pick the easiest ones first, and then - one habit by one habit - try and make the "fix" for that a part of your routine.
Internal ones are like: Life is pointless, the world is horrible, etc.

You just Gotta find a way of thinking yourself out of that feedback loop, otherwise it's only going to get worse. Myself, I'm an optimistic nihilist with a splash of ethical hedonism - I'm agnostic, but heavily science-leaning basically, if a god pops up I'll be like: "Oh, okay. Not even on a geographical one, really.
But I also understand that seeing that data, as it were, and being depressed is Well, it's applying meaning to a meaningless universe. No matter which way you slice it, you're applying significance to something without it. The universe doesn't give a shit if you're moping about how little it cares about you. Moping doesn't actually make your life markedly better - and sadness, itself, is a human construct.
You can choose to look at how fucking meaningless life is and say: "Well, this makes me sad " or you can choose to look at it and say "Well, this makes me free to be happy ". We have a habit of seeing pessimism as more "rational" than optimism, when in most cases they're simply two sides of the same wilful delusion-coin. Y'know, you might as well just do what makes you happy. TL;DR: Life is meaningless, but being sad about it doesn't change how meaningless it is. You get nothing you lose, good day sir! You have to come up with your own purpose and be true to yourself.
But theres really neither.
You can make life significant and no one else has to know. Fuck that question. I have said the exact same thing that it was all pointless to myself for a thousand times when I had a depression for years on end.

It took me years before I found mine. Meaning is not something you will find in a day. If its not today it might be tomorrow and otherwise the day after. Eventually you will find it and it will make it all worthwhile. In the mean time think what you want and what makes you happy or at least did. Once you know what you want go for it.
Get your stuff together. See a dirty cup? Clean it. The world is now a better place. Yes you are! There are many points to life, such as Shitposting on reddit? I look at it from the point of view that life is all about enjoyment and pleasure, nothing more. I work only because the money and stability of my job allows me to spend my free time doing what I enjoy with the people I enjoy spending time with.
My goal is to simply enjoy life every chance I get without taking it too seriously. I am unfortunately a pessimistic nihilist, at least I am at this time of my life. I have to try and think differently at times. The next thing keeps me going, whatever it is.

Of course not. But you have to go step by step. My partner is an optimistic nihilist. As others have said, we all have these thoughts at some point. Whether it is due to our current shit situation or due to introspective and pondering the world. When that happens, I start to notice self destructive behavior in myself.

It may be time for some true self love, go on a spiritual retreat or journey. You are never tied down to any situation no matter how dire. Same applies to relationships. You can change any situation. If you really hate it all, walk away.
Make a new start in a new place. You can effect the change yourself or wait until it is forced upon you. Get out of your self made coffin and go see the world. If you do nothing, the answer is always the same. I felt this way for quite a while too. For me, a large contribution to this perspective was likely having to grow up early and recognize and address my personal responsibilities while others my age seemingly weren't having to do this.
I let the weight crush me into an autonimous robot with misplaced ambition and a brutally unrealistic idea of what a career really entails. And when I got the paper and the subsequent job, life initially seemed bleak and endlessly static. However, I decided to take some time to break away from my habits and tendencies outside of work to really think about why everything I did felt meaningless. I can't truly say I found an answer, but rather found that a lot of the things I spent my free time doing WERE meaningless and fruitless. Here are the changes I am actively fighting to make which, so far, have introduced a fresh and healthy drive back into my life:.
It's so mainstream you'd never guess that this activity can single handedly fix your body and your mind. I've been trying to meditate. This is incredibly beneficial but my racing mind usually prevents the activity from being helpful. I replaced Facebook and all yes, all other forms of social media and otherwise distracting apps with Reddit. I feel as though since I've done this, I spend way less time on my phone and when I am on it, I learn something new every time.
I am trying to enjoy small talk, and the simple joy of hearing about a co-workers weekend. This one is hard because I am impatient and often apathetic to those I don't know, but having more friends around the office has made work a relatively stress-free environment. This list is not complete and truthfully, I hope it never ends.
